Oh the lovely toddler years. I’m going to be straightforward: I sometimes find it a little hard to soak up all the good moments between the mood swings, tantrums, fights for independence.
Here’s what I know to be true. My attitude is what counts – it’s the one thing I can control. I can choose to be positive, to be proactive and to have a meaningful impact. I love books (uh, duh?). Because I know the POWER of the books on our bookshelf – to help me exude the attitude I described above – I arm myself with ones that help me through these tough times, and allow me to feel like I’m making positive change.
So today, I want to show you four children’s books about following the rules from our intentional bookshelf.
In this short, 5 minute video I discuss the four books, why we love them & how they’ve had an impact on our family.
The Books

Here’s some encouragement. As you work through these (sometimes) challenging years – stop and take a moment to have your eyes wide open and experience it in full. If it seems hard to do, it’s because it is, I’m working on it too!
